Backpack Friends

As you know, thousands of children in our school districts are on free and reduced meal programs. What you may not know is that when those kids leave school on Friday, they may not eat again until they return to school on Monday. So, from Friday at lunch until Monday morning breakfast, they suffer from what's called 'low food security'.

That's where Backpack Friends comes in. We're a group of businesses, churches, and volunteers who provide low-cost, nutritious food every weekend for children who otherwise don't have anything to eat.
