Scholarships
The Rotary Club of Pflugerville invests in the next generation of High School graduates with our annual Scholarship Program. Through a series of events throughout the year and in partnership with an amazing group of sponsors and member of the Pflugerville community, we are able to raise and award a significant amount of scholarships for deserving PfISD High School Seniors.
Through the generosity and support of our sponsors and community members we have been able to consistently raise and distribute over $25,000 in scholarships on an annual basis to help graduates as they move on to college. With the support of the local community and businesses over the years, we have been able to award over $275,000 in scholarships.
Some of the local events we use to raise funds for scholarships are:
- Deutschen Pfest: Pflugerville’s most popular pfestival, the Deutschen Pfest is held every year in Pfluger Park. The pfestival schedule is always bursting with pfun with live music, food, beer, shopping and our Pfun Run and Community Pfair! Visit https://deutschenpfest.com/ for more information. We run two beer and food tents the proceeds of which go to the scholarship fund.
- Casino Night: a fantastic themed evening of gambling, fun and games for fund raising for scholarships. See stories/15th-annual-casino-night for more information.
- Golf tournament: a fun golf tournament in the format of a four person scramble with teams competing for prizes and bragging rights. We also include competitions on the day like the putting contest and closest to the hole. See stories/24th-annual-golf-tournament for more information.
